Come Explore With Us ! 4Canoes and canoe Kids is about cultures, equity and the environment. Our readership is from the very young to the very mature. We are privileged to have the opportunity to live among beautiful and vibrant cultures and we strive to bring an honest and authentic perspective from the First Peoples to our readership. The Truth and Reconciliation Commission inspired Indigenous and non-indigenous people throughout Canada and its calls to action provided the impetus that brought our group of like-minded individuals together in 2015. The TRC calls to action devotes two entire sections to Media and Education. 4Canoes is our effort to embrace the TRC message. We believe in and focus upon: Cultural Rights, Human Rights, Environmental Rights & Equity.

4 Canoes (formerly Canoe Kids) is a unique, ongoing, 24-edition series created to bring Indigenous Peoples into our classrooms and homes. Each issue highlights a different Nation, and is produced with integrity and respect. Our team lives with the featured People for months, providing a forum for them to tell their story.

4Canoes provides accurate and authentic windows into different cultures and features unsurpassed photography, in the National Geographic genre. We are a Canadian publication, created in answer to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls To Action.
